What's taking so long?

well, i did what i said i was going to do. wrote the reqs. and sent it to the vendors but haven't heard back. i'll call them this weekend.

ohh on a personal note: my daughter who's 10.5 months old is WALKING!!!!! no not standing or taking few steps but full blow WALKING!!! she's had a couple of bloody lips but she's a tough cookie unlike her daddy and a lot like her mommy! i really try hard to keep my personal life out of this blog but it's so hard especially when you're excited about something and you don't have time to create another blog. i'll try to create another personal blog...i had one for my daughter but i or blogger can't seem to remember the username and password...so i can't edit it anymore. anyways the football season is upon us(americans). every saturday, the day before my team plays, i can't sleep at night and usually stay up all night! i'm not exaggerating. the anticipation just kills me. BUT it allows me to work on stuff (to kill time)...:)))))) yeah yeah i know some of you believe that sports were created to keep the common folks distracted and away from real issues...even so...can't a man have one flaw???:))) of course i kid! :)

satnam,

just curious, what is gas going for in Washington this week. I just filled up for $2.97/Gallon. I wish I could help you guys, but don't have the right skill set. Hey! I have a blog now. Feel like a techie. But I am still amazed as to how you were able to write Punjabi/Gurmukhi words.

wow! manjit! you have a blog!!!:)

we have the most expensive gas in the country. $3.10-$3.75/gallon.

it's insane...i started taking metro/bart(as you bay area people call it) and my manager is letting me work from home finally!

honestly we have enough techie help...what we need is someone who is artistic and can draw with a pencil and a paper. i've posted all over punjabi techie boards without a response. But my brother and dad just left for india today so i'm hoping that they can talk to some people there.
also, i'll be going to india soon as well...and people have advised me that it's probably better if i do this part (business deals) myself in person.

BUT i heard something disturbing (but not too surprising) through the grapevine...that some people out there won't be too happy if our stuff is all for free...they'd rather make money and that's a big reason why we're having a hard time getting our hands on a dictionary.

but as they say...everyone has a price!

one thing i haven't done on this blog is post links for all the people and web sites i've come across. it's pretty easy to write in gurmukhi! i'll write more later...the little one is up!:)

Hiya!!
Your daughter's walking...:D:D:D
I can see you are a very proud daddy :) And I know how difficult it might be to keep personal and professional life separate...although there is no separation possible for me..hehe.

P.S.// What kind of help do you need exactly? If you can maybe make a post with clearly defined "requirements" of your project...maybe people can find you someone who could be of help?!?

You know I love babies. Your daughter is ambitious. My brother and I were walking around within a few months also. I haven't lost any of that ambition or drive for sucess that I started with. Being a really good person yourself I know your daughter will grow up to be a great success.

prabhu, you know i did'nt know the extent of our Father's (10th Guru) sacrifice for Sikhi until i had one of my own (child). my heart contracts into the size of a jelly bean when i even think of something bad happening to her. WoW! what a sacrifice!

and prabhu, just so you know i don't take any praise seriously because you've never met me and don't know me. but i do aspire to be good and do unselfish(that's the trickiest of them all) things and be kind to others.

okay give me a day or two and let me finish up what i'm working on and i'll post the reqs.

this is so exciting (SatGur di mehar dai naal)

you want to hear something funny?:
my wife was talking to her sister on the phone while i was sitting next to her...and she says "do you know what song i like?"(to her sister) and for some odd reason i'm thinking "Dhan Dhan Gur Ram Das" and next words i hear from her is "Gold Digger!"..."ohh, it's soooo good...have you heard the real version?..." i started laughing.

you had to be there (in my head!):)
